Celebrity Big Brother Rumours Investigated!
"Big Brother" moving to Channel 5 hasn't been the biggest success, as this year's series attracted much smaller viewing figures compared to its previous years on Channel 4. However, the 2011 celebrity series did catch the public's attention and made stars of housemates such as Lucien Laviscount, Amy Childs and eventual winner Paddy Doherty. Channel 5 will be hoping to repeat this success in 2012 and controversial names such as Lindsay Lohan and Frankie Cocozza would be certain to get the tabloids, and the public, talking about the show again.
None of the housemates for January's series have been announced yet, but rumours have ranged from the aforementioned big names to some perhaps more realistic predictions, such as comedienne Ruby Wax and "Reservoir Dogs" actor Michael Madsen. The Sun also reported that "Celebrity Big Brother" bosses were hoping to create some tension in the house by signing up Natasha Giggs, who famously had an affair with her footballer brother-in-law Ryan Giggs, and glamour model Nicola McLean who has regularly warred with Natasha over Twitter.
While no confirmation has been made of who will be going into the "Celebrity Big Brother" house, some stars have spoken out to state that they will not be entering. Eighties popstar Boy George, rapper Tinchy Stryder and "The Only Way Is Essex" star Sam Faiers have all denied reports that they will be featured in the celebrity line-up. However, Faiers' co-star Kirk Norcross is hotly tipped to enter the house, especially after fellow "TOWIE" cast members Amy Childs and Mark Wright both reached the finals of reality TV contests in 2011.
Apart from the stars, some other information about the new series has been revealed. According to Digital Spy, Channel 5 will televise a live feed from the house after each show, in response to fans' criticisms of this element being removed in the 2011 series. Plus, Channel 5 has promised that "Big Brother" is going to be more "evil" than ever this year, which should be interesting - especially if Frankie Cocozza is involved!
