Zayn And Perrie Now Known As Zerrie!

After months of rumours, One Direction member Zayn Malik has finally gone public about his relationship with Perrie Edwards from X Factor girlband Little Mix.

They denied it at first, but One Direction's Zayn Malik and Little Mix singer Perrie Edwards have both confirmed in new interviews that they are a couple. The pair had to acknowledge their relationship after photos appeared in the tabloids of the couple, who fans are now calling "Zerrie," sharing a kiss before Malik left the U.K. for a visit to New York, where One Direction attended the premiere of Men In Black III.

Speaking to the Daily Mirror about his romance with Edwards, Zayn said: "We're absolutely incredible, everything's going great. We're buzzing." Perrie was also questioned on the subject by Philip Schofield when she and her bandmates were interviewed on today's episode of daytime TV show This Morning. She said: "Obviously we are together and I think everyone knows that now, but I am really, really happy." She also said that being apart so much makes the time they spend together more special.

Since they came third in the 2010 series of The X Factor, the five boys from One Direction have been romantically linked to a mixture of celebrities and unknown girls. While Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne have managed to keep up relationships with non-celebrity girlfriends and Niall Horan has remained happily single, Zayn and Harry Styles have both had a number of celebrity romances. Zayn dated another X Factor contestant, Rebecca Ferguson, for several months in 2011, while Harry was famously involved with TV presenter Caroline Flack, who was 15 years his senior.

Harry also recently dated model and actress Emily Atack, but it was rumoured that his busy schedule put too much pressure on the relationship. For Zayn and Perrie this may also be a problem as both Little Mix and One Direction are expected to release new albums this year, but at least in this case they will understand each other's situation as they are both members of groups that found fame on The X Factor.

I am a 1D fan and find it hilarious that these boys are finding love on the X-Factor. Liam's girlfriend was a dancer on the X-Factor and now Zayn is dating a contestant on the X-Factor. Hmm, guess they don't want to stray too far from their roots.

I love One Direction and think they are absolutely adorable. It's cute that they are finding love with other girl group members, it's like this was all planned. I guess similar life circumstances help people find love?! We'll see how long this one lasts.
