Ronan Targeted By Festival Prankster

Irish singer Ronan Keating was the butt of a drunken joke at the Isle of Wight festival on Sunday when a cheeky music fan was dared by friends to pick him up. The prankster made a jibe about Keating's height, saying the Boyzone star was much smaller than he expected, and decided to attempt to lift him. Caught unawares, Keating pushed the man away and security quickly intervened.
Ronan was reportedly very angry at first, but after the festival-goer was escorted away by the event's security team he did see the funny side. Ronan was at the festival with some friends to see one of his music idols, Bruce Springsteen, and was spotted drinking in the on-site hotel bar with fellow musicians Paolo Nutini and Kelly Jones from the Stereophonics. Between them they managed to represent Ireland, Wales and Scotland!
Ronan's Isle of Wight encounter might have been no more than a joke gone too far, but other celebrities have experienced much more disturbing fan attacks. Leona Lewis was forced to increase her security after a supposed fan punched the demure singer at a book signing, while Noel Gallagher ended up with three broken ribs and a world tour in jeopardy after a concert-goer attacked him on stage at Toronto's V Festival in 2008.
