X Factor Stars Take
The U.S. By Storm!
Boyband phenomenon One Direction are currently on the American leg of their Up All Night tour, taking in cities such as Los Angeles, Atlanta and Chicago. They kindly invited their fellow X Factor alumnus Olly Murs along for the ride, as he too is planning a U.S. launch this summer, with his single "Heart Skips a Beat," released last month.
Olly gave SheKnows the scoop about the experience touring in America, and said the 1D boys are "great guys" and it's been "incredible" to be part of the tour, though Olly has been the target of a few cheeky One Direction pranks as well. It sounds like the war didn't last long, though, as Irish 1D member Niall Horan offered Murs a helping hand backstage by playing guitar in an acoustic video performance recorded for Olly's YouTube channel. Bizarrely, Niall was sitting on the toilet at the time!
The One Direction tour will soon be coming to an end, with only three Florida dates remaining. However, the band's U.S. fans will get another chance to see them in 2013 when they return to the country as part of their huge world tour, which will also include U.K. dates. As for Olly, he's crossing his fingers that his music will follow 1D's to the top of the American Billboard charts, and perhaps he'll be back on his own headline tour soon!
