British Stars To Make Olympic Comebacks

According to today's tabloid reports, Liam Gallagher will be performing a version of the Oasis hit "Wonderwall" with his new band Beady Eye at the Olympic closing ceremony, while the Spice Girls are set to perform together for the first time in four years. The ceremony will have a "50 years of British music" theme, with Liam and the Spice Girls representing the 1990s.
The ceremony will take place on Aug. 12 and other stars reportedly set to perform include George Michael, The Who and Take That. In addition to the musical entertainment, the ceremony will also recognise the achievements of the athletes who took part in the games and the Olympic flame will be extinguished.
While the main focus of the games will be on the sporting events, there will be plenty of interest for music fans. The opening ceremony on July 27 is expected to feature performances from stars such as Paul McCartney. There will also be concerts and family-oriented events throughout the games at Hyde Park in central London.
