A friend of the former N-Dubz singer Tulisa Contostavlos has been killed today in Bournemouth in what local police believe was a "pre-planned and targeted attack by a number of offenders." Reece James, who was shot dead at around 2.30 a.m., was associated with the famous Church Road Soldiers gang, based at the Church End housing estate in North London. A 22-year-old man has been arrested in connection with Reece's death.

Tulisa recently filmed a video for a track from her forthcoming debut solo album at the Church End estate, and James was one of the extras. The "Young" singer has not made any public comment on the shooting as yet, but sources say she was "devastated" to hear of Reece's death.

Tulisa will be releasing the second single from her new album, a track called "Live It Up," later this summer and has already been performing the song at summer festival gigs. The song features American rapper Tyga, who had a huge U.S. hit with "Rack City," and will be released in September, followed shortly by her album.
