Sad News For Gary Barlow And Wife Dawn

Gary Barlow and his wife Dawn have announced that their fourth child, a girl who would have been named Poppy, was delivered stillborn.

Gary BarlowX Factor judge and Take That singer Gary Barlow has announced the very sad news that his fourth child was delivered stillborn on Saturday, Aug. 4. Gary, his wife Dawn and their three kids are planning to give the baby, who would have been named Poppy, "a beautiful funeral." Barlow released a statement asking "at this painful time that our privacy be respected."

The loss of their child will undoubtedly be devastating to 41-year-old Gary and his family. Earlier this year Gary received the award for Celebrity Dad of the Year, and spoke about his anticipation of the new arrival, saying "We are a very excited family." The baby was due to be born later this month.

While Gary has asked for privacy as he and his family grieve the loss of baby Poppy, it is unlikely he will be able to take much time away from work as the early stages of The X Factor are currently being filmed. This will be Gary's second year as a judge on the hugely successful ITV talent show, and he will be hoping to improve on 2011, where he came second with singer Marcus Collins in the boys category.
